Students who have graduated from the Department of Design since 2022 came together online. Design Department Head Instructor Serdar Dik and Graphic Design Program Head Instructor Ertuğrul Erbey attended the meeting, which was organized to strengthen interaction with graduates and contribute to their education processes.
Evaluations Made on the New Curriculum
In the first part of the online meeting, graduates' opinions on university education were received. Especially regarding the new curriculum, students shared their views on updating the education programs and making them compatible with the business world. Participants made various suggestions to further strengthen the curriculum and expressed their expectations for every stage of the academic process.
Experience Sharing and Forward-Looking Programs
During the meeting, ideas were also exchanged with graduates on experience sharing and organizing mentoring programs. The fact that students shared their university experiences and the challenges they faced on a wider platform before entering business life came to the agenda as an opportunity that will enable new graduates to take stronger steps in their career journeys.
Survey Feedback and Improvement Processes
During the meeting, feedback from surveys previously sent to graduates was also brought to the agenda. Students provided feedback on the education they received through these surveys. While the survey results provided important data for the continuous improvement of educational processes, the department management stated that they took this feedback into consideration.
Questions and Answers and Receiving Suggestions
The meeting ended after the graduates' questions were answered. The graduates expressed their satisfaction for organizing such an event to learn more about the future of the university and to share their suggestions. Lecturer Serdar Dik emphasized that he valued the suggestions and opinions of his graduates and stated that such meetings will be held regularly in the future.
It was emphasized that these meetings will continue and that the contributions of the graduates regarding their academic backgrounds will shape both the educational processes and the future of the university.
