A meeting was held by job and vocational counselors to organize a training program for students of the Design and Handicrafts Departments of our university's Technical Sciences Vocational School (TBMYO). The meeting was organized in cooperation with our university's KARGEM unit and was held with the participation of Elif Doğan Şahin and Mehmet Ali Ay, Vocational Counselors from the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR) Muş Provincial Directorate.
At the meeting held in the Design and Handicrafts Department Building, discussions were held by İŞKUR to organize a training program for our students on career planning, job finding processes and job search strategies. The training aims to provide students with information and skills regarding job and career choices and to raise awareness on career change and job finding.
A detailed plan was made at the meeting for the training program planned to be held in November. In the training planned to last one day, students from both departments will learn about topics such as determining suitable professions for themselves, effective job search techniques, personal branding, creating a CV and portfolio, interview techniques and motivation-enhancing methods.
After the training, participants will be given a certificate of participation on the topics covered in the content, and students will be able to plan their careers more consciously. It was stated that this training aims to equip our students with the necessary preliminary knowledge and skills before entering business life. It was emphasized that the training program, which is considered important for the students of the department, will contribute to students gaining a stronger place in the labor market after graduation.
