The opening of the 'Graphic Design Program End of Year Exhibition', which includes the works of our University's Technical Sciences Vocational School, Design Department, Graphic Design Program 1st and 2nd year students during the year, was held in the foyer area of ​​1071 Malazgirt Congress and Culture Center. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Fethi Ahmet Polat also visited the exhibition opening, which was attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ulaş Çaydaş, General Secretary Harun Demir, TBMYO Director Dr. Lecturer M. Eşref Alkış, academic unit managers, staff and students.

The products prepared by the students of the Graphic Design program within the TBMYO Design Department during the year attracted great interest. In addition to staff and students, the exhibition also hosted visits from the sector; Approximately 200 works compiled from products designed in courses such as basic design, original printing, corporate identity design, publication graphics, packaging graphics, experimental typography, and illustration were presented to the visitors of the exhibition.

TBMYO Director Dr. Lecturer M. Eşref Alkış said in his opening speech, “We were once again proud of our students in this event where the Graphic Design Program students displayed their talents. Since we are a pilot state university in digital transformation, I would like to emphasize the importance of these works our students have done in a computer environment in today's world where digitalization is at the forefront. I wish the exhibition, which includes the successful works of our students, to be beneficial, and I would like to thank our department instructors and students for their efforts.”

Design Department Head Lecturer Serdar Dik; “As department instructors, it was a proud process to introduce the designs that our Graphic Design Program students have prepared with great efforts within a year to visitors on behalf of our college and department. As the Department of Design, we have adopted the mission of being a means for our students who will graduate from the sector to discover their talents, and we can evaluate this exhibition as a presentation of our students' designs.

We can say that the expressive power of Graphic Design products is more efficient than the verbal power. It is possible to convey the same message to societies with different languages ​​and even to illiterate people with graphic products. In this sense, it is necessary to emphasize the importance of this profession, which will always appear as a means of mass communication and which requires qualified personnel in both the public and private sectors. We have endless faith that our students in the department will be in more successful positions as long as they continue with a consciousness that can keep up with change and follow trends.

Since it is an associate degree program, I would like to thank our department instructors Lecturer Ahmet Abuzeroğlu and Lecturer Ertuğrul Erbey, who have always been guiding and contributed to the students' preparation for the sector and their transition to a professional design life in a 2-year period.

During the exhibition visit, we would like to thank our rector Prof. Dr. Fethi Ahmet Polat and our Vocational School Director Dr. Lecturer Member M. Eşref Alkış, all our students who contributed to the exhibition and all the participants who visited the exhibition.” he said.

The exhibition, which was open between June 21-27, ended with a group photo after the visits.
